Farmstead Plans
Building plans for this
southwest Pennsylvania homestead include a farmhouse, an
all-purpose, timber-frame barn, a garage and a storage shed.
The Ohler Farmstead, built
around 1910 or 1920 by Adam Ohler and Eberharter Shipley is
typical of a subsistence farm of southwestern Pennsylvania. The
buildings that comprise the Ohler Farmstead exhibit a quiet,
noble simplicity in their conception and construction,
reflecting the lives of those who lived and toiled within them,
while offering significant lessons to those interested in the
design and preservation of America's vernacular heritage.
The plan set includes
drawings of an attractive small farmhouse, a 32'x44' all-purpose
barn, a 14'x18' garage and a storage shed. There is a detail
drawing that shows all of the components of the barn's timber
frame.

Ohler Farmstead Plan Set
These plans will print on 8 1/2x11 paper on most computer
printers. Ledger and larger size prints can also be produced
