Three Free Playhouse Plans by
UBuild
Build one of these unique
playhouse designs for your favorite child.
These unique
do-it-yourself playhouses and play forts were originally
designed by John Lewis for UBuild.com. They are currently hosted
and offered for free by AreaGuides.com
Older designs like
these often specified pressure-treated wood for durability.
Unfortunately, some of the chemicals used to preserve wood may
be harmful to kids. Substitute durable untreated wood like
redwood or red cedar for the pressure-treated lumber specified
on these plans, or make sure from you supplier that the
pressure-treated wood that you're ordering is safe for kids.
Frontier Playhouse
This is an easy to build Frontier type playhouse that your kids
will enjoy. You build it from stockade fence pieces that you can
buy at your local home center.
Treeless Tree House
Because you may not have the perfect tree in the perfect
location, This design uses a substitute "tree" - a pole similar
to a small telephone pole that you can purchase at a lumber yard
or farm supply store.
Two Story Fort Playhouse
Here's a two floor Fort
Playhouse that you can build with step by step building
directions.
